Rowand to Star in Rocky VI

Aaron_rowand_rockyvi_1So he isn't really starring in Rocky VI but it looks like he just went the distance with Apollo Creed.  Aaron Rowand spoke at a press conference on Monday about his now mythic catch last week.

"People can call me stupid," he said. "It doesn't bother me."

Rowand's catch served as an inspiration to Gavin Floyd, who went on to pitch a shutout in the rain-shortened game.

It seems to have had the same effect on the Phillies as a whole, as the team has won 13 of its last 14 games.

Rowand, who was brought in, in part, for his attitude, thinks that his play has inspired the rest of the team.

"I think it can be contagious," he said.

I think he is on to something.  I don't know if the swagger was here before the 13 game winning streak 13 wins in 14 games or the swagger is a result of it.  Aaron Rowand is good for the Phillies and he is absolutely good for Philly fans.

And then the Russian, and then Mr. T, and then Tommy Gun! And after that, went and got plastic surgery tips from Michael Jackson. He's MESSED up, but definitely in good spirits. They just lost... Franklin threw it away. Damn.

We miss Rowand here on the South Side of Chicago. The guy is an animal.

Wow, all that from an outfield wall??!??
