Aaron Rowand: Instant Fan Favorite
Bobby Abreu he is not. Slamming into the wall, breaking your nose, bleeding everywhere, making the catch, all with two outs and bases loaded will fortify your position in the hearts of Philadelphians. Watch the sick catch here. It's like Harry knew he was going to catch it before he actually did.
Phillies center fielder Aaron Rowand left Thursday's game with a broken nose and lacerations to the face after crashing into the center-field fence to make an over-the-shoulder catch for the final out of the first inning.

Rowand was my favorite Pale Hoser since '01. Hope you enjoy his platinum glove.

Talk about bad timing -- the Phillies had just received the padding they were going to install to prevent that from happening.
Rowand is exactly the type of player Philly fans will love. He's definitely getting a standing O at the next home game he plays, and if he doesn't, those in attendance should be ashamed of themselves.

Aaron is the man. We gave him a Standing O in April when he picked up his ring. Glad to see Philly fans appreciate him as well.

I hate the White Sox with a burning passion, but I would love Rowand on my team. He is a throwback.

As a White Sox fan Aaron has been my all-time favorite ball player because of his work ethic, his clubhouse leadership and his overall character. I believe Aaron epitomizes what a Major League ball player should be. I miss him big time on our team but I am really enjoying his success at Philly. He deserves it! I am actually going to purchase a Aaron Rowand Phillies jeresey one day...Good luck this year Phillies!

That's why you will never hear a negative word said about Aaron Rowand in Chicago.

That is why I was glad to see Jim Thome go. Thome was a good man and all that jazz, but when you can get a guy like Aaron Rowand for him, it's a good trade. The Phils haven't had that kind of gritty, no nonsense team player since Lenny Dykstra and before that, Pete Rose. This guy is sick and I hope he stays in Philly for years to come.
If you're oging to be on the DL, might as well be for something great like that!

Rowand is outstanding. Needless to say he earned his pinstriped for life.
My question is, why not get rid of Santana instead of sending down Geary? Santana is not good... the guy can't throw strikes, three walks in a mop up game? Not to mention the prior blowup he had in Denver earlier this year.
