Bright Lights, Half-Empty Stadium: Sixers-Celts, on National TV Again

Share

Back on TNT already? Geez, this better be the last time. Tonight, the
Sixers play on National TV for the second time in six days, this time
hosting the Celtics at the Wells Fargo Center. Philly has actually had
pretty good success against the C's this year, winning two of the three
matchups between the two teams, though the two wins were by a combined
seven points (and one in OT) and the one loss was by 13, so "domination"
would probably be putting it a little bit too strongly. Besides, the
C's have won 11 of their last 15, while the Sixers have gone 5-10 over
the same span, so they're probably not sweating the trip to Philly too
much.

Still, at the very least, Evan Turner likes facing this
Boston team—he's averaging 21 points, eight boards and four dimes
against them in three games this season, and nearly 15 points a game for
his career, his second-highest average against any team. Evan had an
up-and-down game against the Wizards the other night, but it was good to
see him attacking the basket like he did, resulting in most of his four
field goals and four free-throw attempts, even though his jumper was
off all night. He also grabbed ten boards, his second-straight
double-digit rebound game after just three such games in the first two
months of 2013. Grasping at straws perhaps, but still good to see.

7:00
tip tonight from the WFC. Collins thinks we should see more Arnett
Moultrie tonight, which means he'll probably play three minutes at the
beginning of the second quarter before being sent to the locker room for
no reason. Whatta season.
