Jimmy Rollins Has Mastered Jedi Mind Tricks

The Phillies may have dropped the series opener to the Mets by a 5-2 count (back off the ledge, Flushers!), but the highlight of the night favored the Fightins. In the second inning, Mets pitcher RA Dickey successfully executed a sacrifice bunt, giving catcher Josh Thole a pass to second base. However, on his way down to the bag, he stopped, and started to trot back to first, where he was thrown out.
Why?
Well according to the Mets' feed of the game, captured here by Timothy Burke at Deadspin, Jimmy Rollins waved his hand and casually indicated Thole that the ball had rolled foul, rather than directly to Jim Thome, who tagged out Dickey. As Thole made his way back to first, Jimmy called for the ball from Cliff Lee, then threw him out.
John Finger has more on the disappointing game, which saw the Phillies go 0 for 8 with runners in scoring position. At least Freddy Galvis homered...
