Get to Know Union Rags, the Local Horse Favorite in Saturday's Kentucky Derby

Share

If you're looking for a horse to toss your support behind -- and perhaps a few bucks at -- in Saturday's Kentucky Derby, look no further than a local horse with a pretty unique tale.

Union Rags.

The movie embedded below is about 25-minutes long (but is very, very well done) and tells of the great love story between Union Rags and his owner, Phyliss Wyeth of Point Lookout Farm in Chadds Ford, PA. Union Rags is trained by Michael Matz who also just so happened to be the trainer for a certain 2006 Kentucky Derby winner you may remember named Barbaro.
