The NYTimes has a very neat look at how Major League Baseball is revolutionizing the way they archive every single moment played during a season. A unique tagging system is the key, like this recent moment you may recall.

There are more than 500 possible tags to choose from, and among those chosen at that moment were “ground out,” “from knees,” “last out,” “premier plays,” “milestone call” and “hugging.”

They point out that there are also quirky tags like "boats," "drinking," or "animal." Not sure if John Kruk gets that last tag. If I had access to this amazing database, I'd surely do a search for "Philadelphia+beer+kid." What would you search for?
