Penn State seniors look to go out with a win
Indiana in an upset over Penn State? Not so fast my friend...
Kevin McGuire is back with a game day thread for today's Penn State-Indiana game. Feel free to discuss all things college football below and for more on Penn State football after the game head over to Examiner or Nittany White Out to see what Kevin has to say about the game.
BCS? Forget about it!
Big Ten championship? No chance sweetheart.
New Year's Day Bowl game?
Today Penn State will search for an answer to their second loss of the season. While the Iowa loss left a bitter feeling afterward, losing to Ohio State had more of a deflating feeling among Penn State faithful. the slow, gradual, defeat unfolded in a painful way as Penn State's dreams of a second consecutive BCS bowl shifted form the Penn State sideline "across the field" to the Ohio State sideline. So what is left to play for in Happy Valley?
Pride.
Today will mark the final home game in the collegiate careers of 18 Penn State players, including quarterback Daryll Clark and linebacker Sean Lee. Both players are co-captains of the squad and you can bet that there is no way they will allow this team to have a let-down against Indiana. Penn State is 12-0 against the Hoosiers and while Penn State is a 25 point favorite, Indiana has a history of making the score a lot closer than it should be.
I am flat out predicting a big win for the Nittany Lions today. I fully expect Clark to have a big game through the air and Lee to set the tone on defense early. A win would set up a good chance at a New Year's day bowl (Let's go Outback tonight...?) but they still have to win one more game after this week.
Consider this your game day thread to discuss all things Penn State and college football. Temple fans can feel free to discuss last night's game as well.

A big PSU win along with a big win by OSU over the Hawkeyes puts Penn State in great position to go to another BCS games - Orange or Fiesta.

drock-while that statement might be true, i just don't think psu deserves a bcs berth.
of course, "deserves got nothing to do with it"

@jd: Probably not but as you say deserves has little to do with it and PSU will certainly bring in the $ that a BCS bowl wants to see.

Someone should tell Darryl Clark that this isn't a big game, and he can get out of his shell he went into last week. Seriously. This 1st had is an embarrassment, and I've tasted my breakfast coming back up too many times already.

The Flyers played tonight, They might have lost, but they battled. So why are we talking about a Penn State team going nowhere? They dont play in philly...

given that tens of thousands of PSU alums reside in the philadelphia area and its surrounding suburbs, i would say philadelphia has a large rooting interest in the Lions.
psu going nowhere?
