Audio: Franzke Channels Harry in Chase's Second Game 5 Home Run Call
"The left hander with the payoff pitch... Swung on, hit high in the air. Has he done it again? He has done it again! Chase Utley with his second multi-homer game in this World Series! His second home run tonight. And as our friend HK liked to say 'You are the man!' 7-2 Phillies here in the seventh. Wow." -Scott Franzke calling Chase Utley's second home run in game five [audio below]
Hat tip to Phrontiersman.

Really happy with Franzke...i thought the Philadelphia Phillies broadcasting booth would be a joke after the greatest announcer ever passed away, but Franzke has made this fan proud throughout the season and has shown potential to be at least a competent replacement to HK.

I went to Scott and LA for the 2nd half of the game, and man, I wonder why I have been punishing myself listening to McCarver on TV for so long this series.

WAY TO GO CHASE!!!! I am also a very proud fan that our loved HK was mentioned. To be honest the FOX announcers have not been that bad but I have had most of the games muted on TV and been listening to the radio. Lets go PHILLIES.... REPEAT IT FOR HK

Thank you! This is so great. We are really lucky to have Scott and LA. I don't have cable, so I listen to quite a few of the games on the radio and they never disappoint. Harry will always be missed, but I'm glad we have these guys to fill the void.

Last night I tried listening to 1210 for the first time this series because I couldn't take anymore Buck/McCarver, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was synced up almost perfectly with the Fox broadcast. Has this been the case the whole postseason? I remember the last two years they were always separated by about ten seconds, making it a confusing ordeal to watch on Fox while listening to the radio.
Also, I second the praise for Franzke, I think he does a great job.

Nobody misses Scott Graham now, huh? Franzke and LA are the new Harry and Whitey.

LA and Franske have been awesome all year. There's no doubt they should be doing the games on TV. Franske does a great job with the play by play, LA provides some comedy and baseball background. They have a great back and forth. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they make the jump.

Anyone think that maybe, just maybe, the Phils will move Franzke and Anderson to the TV broadcast next year?

It might be an awkward transition for the guys to make from radio to TV. TV is different than radio in terms of how much and when to talk. Also, LA rides the UMPS too much to go on TV.Keep them to the radio. I think TMAC and Sarge have a very good chemistry with each other on the tube.
