Penn State on the road again

After picking up a much needed win for the program last week in Ann Arbor, Penn State takes their show back on the road with a game at heavy underdog Northwestern.

At first glance this would seem to be an easy win for the Nittany Lions. They have the better offense and by far a better defense. Throw in the fact that Northwestern's success rides the arm and legs of quarterback Mike Kafka and it would seem that Penn State should have an easy time today.

And they should.

But Penn State has a history of playing some tough games at Northwestern, although many of the games have been somewhat lopsided. It will be imperative for Penn State to get off to a good start and put the Wildcats away early if possible. If they fail to do that they may find themselves in a familiar position of needing their quarterback to make some plays late in the game.

The last time Penn State played in Ryan Field, one of the most iconic drives in program history took place late in the game. Quarterback Michael Robinson willed his team to victory, as he did all season long back in 2005.

It really was the turning page for the entire program this decade.

it was at that moment i knew the girl i was dating wasn't the one.

i had taken her out that morning for shopping in chestnut hill. even treated her to a shmitter. these are all tradeoffs so i could watch the game.

when mrob lifted himself to legendary status, i was up on the bed screaming. i woke her up. the ex was a psu alum, and told me to shut up. i ended it. but only after i got her tickets to the osu game.

clearly all decisions made that day were God's own plan.

Except everytime PSU "should", they usually do this...look weak, without purpose and heads not in the game, and make it difficult for themselves and us.
