More On Derrick Rose's Apparent Coming Out Party Against the Sixers
It's tough living up to the number one draft choice hype. All signs point to Derrick Rose doing just that in his young NBA career. Slam Online's Michael Tillery chatted with Rose both before and after his big performance yesterday against the Sixers.
Tillery's son was even impressed with the Bulls rookie's nastyness, "My son Gaston was at the game with me and as I turned around to see his reaction, his hand was over his mouth. Another writer and I looked at each other like it was Mike Iverson—or should I say Iverson Mike—all over again."
That's not a good sign for Andre Miller.
Tillery also caught up with Elton Brand after the game and tried to see if there was anything the Sixers could build on.
SLAM: Most think you all are going to turn this around. What can you take from this to help in the transition of a new level of success?
EB: You have to look at every game as an opportunity to win. Last year the team got behind ten games below .500 and then turned it on. We don’t have that luxury this year. Teams are getting better in the East. We have to start separating ourselves right now.
Indeed you do. /still waiting

Wow that was one of the sweetest crossovers I've ever seen.
Hasn't Sammy learned the rules by now?

Thanks again for the link. As a Sixers fan it wasn't a good night, but as a writer it was grand. Like JMac would say...preciate it.
