Brand Out, Day-To-Day
Elton Brand will miss Friday's game against the Allen Iverson Pistons in Detroit. The injury, a strained hamstring, apparently happened at some point in last night's loss against the Lakers, as Brand left halfway through the third quarter and was not on the bench with his team for most of the finish. There is no reason to suspect the injury is severe at this point, so barring any new developments, he could possibly return by Wednesday's match against Lebron and the 15-3 Cavs.
The Sixers have struggled to hit their stride with the addition of Brand, but it wouldn't be a big surprise if they got on a bit of a roll in the power forward's absence, as they will likely go back to some of the things that made the team so successful last season.

It's going to make people think that Brand is the problem if we go on a win streak, but the reality is Cheeks has no idea how to handle all this talent.
Look at the Lakers, they have just as many, actually more, guys who all deserve to get the ball, and they get it done while we don't.

In fairness to Cheeks and the Sixers, I think they'll get it worked out. Just need some time for everything to gel.
Still not sold that they have a complete lineup though.
