Sixers Face Brand's Old Clippers Tonight

Elton Brand will face his old team for the first time tonight at the Wachovia Center. It seemed as if things kind of ended on a sour note in L.A. with coach Mike Dunleavy saying that David Falk "poisoned' Brand in some way. Regardless of the past, Brand isn't looking forward to the focus being on him, "I don't care to see them. I can't worry about individual stuff. It's just a competition. It's just a game we need to win."
The Clippers are a pretty lowly 2-9 but as Philly showed us on Wednesday in Minnesota, the Sixers don't always handle the poor teams well. The addition of Baron Davis has made for more off-the-court fun than winning on the hardwood.
ESPN's accuscore magical computer says the Sixers have an 84% chance of winning. How that is possible I have no idea.
This time, I'm going with the computer genie and the Sixers. Expecting big thanks from EB tonight.

There's also a Flyers game on as well...no thread for that?
If you can't find it on your TV dial...it's on CN8 for some reason...and I guess it's the HD widescreen feed or something, because everything is squished in on my regular TV.
Just another reason the hate comcast.

That's how you kill a fucking penalty...broken up passes, blocked shots, good goaltending, a little help form the posts...and then hit the guy coming out of the box to take the lead.
Way to go Flyers.

josh Gratton throws punches before the other guy (Peters, of all people) even takes his gloves off...and still gets his ass kicked.
I miss Cote.

Yeah, Gratton is horrible at fighting...he's to small, and doesn't look like he strong enough.
Did anyone see when he almost got murdered by Georges Laraque last saturdya night?...it was pitiful.

Awful game, yet again, but a W is a W.

Take a W any way you can. The Clips mailed that one in at the end.
Flyers look like they are on their way to a W too.

Marty brought it tonight against his old team. With 40 saves tonight, it looks like he's putting that horrible start to the sason behind him...in fact, that's the only thing getting behind him these days.
Solid win

I know this is probably the least important thing but how bad does Elton Brand look with that head band on? I'm just glad he's not sporting one this season; although his constant gum chewing bothers me a bit.

"The Clips mailed that one in at the end."
They are 2-10 for a reason.

That 2-10 record is only going to get worse with that cancer of a person, Zach Randolph, coming to play for them.
