Big Surprise: Phils Not Favored to Repeat
With the Red Sox and Yankees topping the list, and considering just how difficult it is to repeat (the Yanks did it last when they won three in a row between '98-'00), this news is not exactly shocking. One particular item on this list did catch my eye though.
Philadelphia Phillies 13/1
New York Mets 13/1
We beat them out for the playoffs two years in a row, gleefully watching them collapse along the way both times, yet they still receive the same level of respect. Whatever. Next season should be another fun chapter in the rivalry.
Check out the full list here.

typical new york bias.... does not matter at this point, we are the PHucking Champions!

Keep being biased against us national media, it brought a championship to Philly and proved all of you d-bags wrong.

2009: The Team to Repeat

Odds are out before any free agents are signed or any potential team-changing moves are made...
That makes a lot of sense.

Please.

it should read
defending champions 13/1

still have all the tools to do it again. plus with free agency you never know. so yeah, those odds are somewhat correct.

If they are vegas odds, the fact that we have the same odds as the mets means nothing. It has a lot more to do with public perception and where the money is likely to go then whi is actually really the favorite. Its actually a good thing for people looking to bet the phils b/c they will be getting better value.

Better to be the underdogs IMHO.

With all starters and most of the bullpen coming back, wondering why so high. Once we sign Manny, see those odds jump to 2/1.
