Paterno May Need Hip Replacement, Won't Be on Sidelines for MSU

Hip_replacement Confirming that Joe Paterno is really, really old, the coaching legend may undergo hip replacement surgery in the off-season. ESPN reports that he will not be on the sidelines for the Michigan State game at Beaver Stadium a week from today. This especially sucks because I'll be there and wanted to see his bright white socks and black sneaks, perhaps for the last time at PSU...? The coach says no, but getting a plastic hip isn't a great indicator of longevity.

Coach K got hip replacement and he still is going strong.

believe it or not, hip and knee replacements are alot more common these days, and the bounce back time is pretty short.
