The Game Thread You've All Been Waiting For

One win. One win is all they're looking for to get this thing off in the right direction. We take a look at tonight's game after the jump.

The San Jose Sharks come into the Wachovia Center tonight as the Flyers look for their first win of the season.

Okay, just kidding, Phillies post coming soon.

More on the Flyers game here.

i hate you.

That's just wrong

AHHHHHHH! I can't take this any longer!!!

...Nittymaki gets the start tonight
...Gagne is out wit the flu
...Nodl is playing on line 2 with Danny and Knuble.

...and Richie takes a penalty 8 seconds in, way to go cap'n.

The 2008-2009 Philadelphia Flyers guide to scoring goals:

1. Take penalties.
2. Avoid overtime.

Glove save and a beauty!

put the biscuit in the basket, you betcha!!

That was cruel.

#9. whoo! epic thread.

Flyers can lose out for the next 2 weeks if that means the Phils win the WS as far as I'm concerned.

Flyers don't have to win a damn game all season if it means a Phils WS championship. (Was that going too far?) After 25 years, perhaps not.

Any guess at actual attendance. I love the flyers and all... but I don't really get up for hockey until December/January.

Coste DH? Why not give Stairs some love?

Not that this matters to me or anyone else in Philly at this point...but how do you score 6 goals and lose?

good things the Phils just took game one or people might be upset about this

Did you see that CNN article about the riots in Oakland? It's really tragic what happened but the riots don't solve anything.
