Palin's Puck Dropping Odds

News that VP candidate Sarah Palin would be dropping the first puck at the Flyers season opener tomorrow caused quite a stir in the region. Some defended the choice, others disapproved, but I think most just want their sports free of politics if possible.

But it got people talking nonetheless, so naturally, the oddsmakers have set some lines on what might happen when Sarah takes center ice. To all flyers fans who have Comcast Digital Cable and live outside of the Philadelphia area, for the next week Comcast is giving a free preview of nhl center ice, so you can catch tomorrows game and any throught the 16th (I think). Though its only a week I can't really complain about not having to watch via gamecenter

www.nhl.com is having a free preview til the 12th on their new center ice package online - "NHL GameCast" or something. can watch 4 games at once, pretty cool. ill be watching the flyers there til I have to take my gf to the friggin coyotes game, ugh, they're still shitty. but the whole time i'll be thinking....this time tomorrow, I'll be surrounded by thousands of mexican thugs wanting to tear this gringo in a Phillies shirt apart @ Chavez Ravine. Ah I love conservatards. They have bashed Hilary Clinton for "hiding" behind the fact she is a woman and were making fun of the fact that she cried before one of the primaries, yet the fact that Palin is a woman precludes her from hearing a negative reaction, ah the sweet smell of hypocracy.

Maybe (and like someone else the $$$ of Flyers tickets means she will get ambivalent at worse) the fact that she was found to be in ethical violation in her own state, she stops one step away from calling her opponent a terrorist himself, shes nothing more than a wink, a few rhymes, and a few unnamed pieces of readinng material will earn her the ire of the people.

Good job spending the whole week painting Obama as a man with questionable choice and then having to say "He's a decent family man...[a] citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues. I will respect him and I want everyone to be respectful, and let's make sure we are." when an older woman calls him an "arab" at a rally.

Ah Republicans are usually good at running campaigns, but man what the hell. Clap for the woman Philly so Fox News will have to talk about actual issues and stuff.

I've got my own strong opinion about her, but it's not worth getting into. However, I would bet anything she gets booed. It feels like one of those times when the crowd will know everyone is watching, and they'll want do something live up to the rep.

Ha, actually I put as much time and effort it took to create the word libmale in an above post. I love how easy a flame can be started just by throwing conservative and liberal out. I'm a democrat who has voted Republican in the past (most notable for Specter and local state reps) and like most people are more moderate. I wonder??, if that portrayal of Sarah Palin by Tina Fey on SNL wasn't aired, would these horrendous statements or pictures of her ability as a chosen running mate would have materialized???
