Football Food For Eagles Fans - Week 5

Yesterday's Eagles-Redskins game was rough. The only thing that may have made it somewhat bearable: a delicious burger. That is a tasty burger.

From Mark's flickr page:

I went pretty basic, but pretty American - A tasty Red, White, and Blue burger.

After grilling, a warm roasted tomato and roasted garlic salsa topped the burger. Also on top was some grilled white sweet Vidalia onion.

The blue? Well, the burger itself was actually two patties with some crumbled bleu cheese in between then pressed together to make one burger.

On the side, some broccoli/carrot/red cabbage cole slaw mixed with a light honey-mustard dressing. So as to not get too healthy on you, I topped this with some crumbled smoked bacon.

Red, White, and Blue.

Another great shot of the burger here.

Thanks again to Mark as always and for an archive of all of Mark's dishes click here.
