Hamels Start Could Get Pushed Up to Face Metropolitans

Let's hope Cole Hamels makes quick work of the Nationals tonight and does not need to reach a high pitch count. If Hamels has a smooth, lowish pitch outing, he could move up his next start to face the Mets in the final game between the two NL East contenders.

If the plan goes as hoped, Cole could make up for the questionable decision last week to leave an important game against the Cubs after only 7 innings.

Also, does this jersey not look perfect on Adam Eaton?

You know what would look even better on Eaton? A Mets jersey.

In all honesty, that thing looks STRAIGHT out of Gillick's closet. I don't think I've ever seen him in anything but an aloha shirt, even for press conferences.

Speaks volumes about how seriously he takes his job.
