On That Soul Thing
>>Crushed Philadelphia Sports Fans Devastated By Philadelphia Soul's Arena League Title:
Locals are saying the damage to Philadelphia's morale and civic pride is equal to that done by Boyz II Men, the crack cocaine epidemic, and the acquisition of the Philadelphia Soul by New Jersey pop star Jon Bon Jovi.

I see you decided to correct the Onion when they called us, "Crushed Philadephlia Sports Fans"

Why are so many people so down on the Soul? It's fine to not be a fan fo arena football. That's completely within your right. You can even make fun of them, and the Soul. But they're a group of professionals who have just proven that they are the best at what they do. It doesn't have to have any cosmic significance, but don't they at least get some quiet congratulations for being the best at doing something they enjoy? Even if it's not your thing?
It's similar to congratulating the gold medal winners in, say, shotgun shooting. It's not my thing, and I have little respect for it as a sport. But at the same time, they did something difficult that I'm not capable of, and they proved themselves better than the competition. Can't you at least congratulate them, even if they do something you don't respect or care about? No athlete deserves to be disparaged for winning a championship. Any championship.

It says in the rule book that only the four major sports count.

How dare they bash Boyz II Men and Bon Jovi in the same sentence?!

Absolutely. Only Bon Jovi should be bashed.

if these guys were a "group of professionals" wouldnt they be playing in the NFL? Lets move baseball inside and make rules like a HR can bounce back into play off of certain nets placed in the outfield. Its a stupid game, id rather watch the WNBA
