Jason Donald Olympic Photo Gallery
It's nice to see the red Phillies cap adorning our nation's baseball uniform in Beijing. That's Phillies prospect Jason Donald who has been consistently linked in trade talks involving the Royals Ron Mahey (Ho!).
NBC Sports is in all out blitz mode in regards to their Olympics content and they have a nice photo gallery of the Phillies middle infield prospect.

seeing the yankees get pudge for farnsworth makes me want to get down on my knees and pray that brian cashman is the phillies GM next year.

You're not alone in that sentiment either.

i'm not a fan of gillick unloading any top prospects we still have for slop like the joe blanton's of the word. i'd rather stay pat and inject some of the farmhands into the lineup like happ and carasco. i am off to pray for a competent gm for next year...

Is there any chance this kid could play 3rd? I mean it is going to be tough to break into an infield including Utley and Rollins.

Eskin apparently mentioned something today about the Phils acquiring Roy Halladay from the Blue Jays for Marson, Donald and Happ.

The Phillies track record of Jasons-who-also have-first-names-as-last-names has been mixed. In fact, I think that list previously began and ended with Jason Michaels. We'll see if Jason Donald can reverse the trend.

Also, he kinda looks like Terminator-era Michael Biehn, but younger.

@ Paul.
That deal was squashed two weeks ago when Halladay said he wants to stay put. Eskin rehashing old stuff as usual.
Apparently there is some talk about Arthur Rhodes coming back to town. Shoot me.

@ Yes
I've seen Jason Donald play shortstop first hand at Reading, and I can definitively say he has no chance of playing third base. Simply put, he is not a very good defensive player.

I kind of like those USA jerseys from the Futures game. Just remove the Yankee Stadium art and it's perfect!
