Former Pennsylvania Trooper Is New Head of NFL Security
Watch your back, Bill Belichick. Jeffrey Miller's watching you now.
Miller is a former Pennsylvania state trooper (appointed Commissioner by Governor Rendell in 2003). In August he will take over as the new head of NFL Strategic Security. Miller's responsibilities will include:
- Pre-game security screening of all fans entering stadiums
- Policing fan behavior during the game
- Securing electronic communication between team personnel to avoid signals being intercepted by an opponent (say, New England, for example)
Miller was best known for being in charge of investigating the tragic Amish schoolhouse shooting that took place in 2006, keeping the secluded Amish community out of the public spotlight in a time of intense crisis. I'm sure that keeping drunken fans in line will be a nice change of pace.

He has to screen every single fan entering NFL stadiums? He better hire an assistant! Or 23852! ZING!
