Flyers Third Jerseys Leaked? Or Just an eBay Item?

The internets are ablaze with leaked (or mislabeled) pics of what originally appeared to be the Flyers' alternate jerseys for '08-'09. Discussion of the topic (with nerdist's renderings) dates back to at least March, but there's recently been a resurgence centered around this picture of a Danny Briere sweater in classic orange and white. We also heard a thing or two about this Carter iteration.

Icethetics, the authority in hockey threads, dropped this on us on Sunday, and if you peek back to the "cell phone" shots they had a few months ago, it looked to be real. They seem to have lost the throwback nameplate since then, but it still reeks of crushed Commie spirit. (Update: Brian Startare of WIP confirms that the cell phone shots with the 1977 throwback fonts and nameplate are indeed the real deal).

But we were dismayed when Hockey Week shared this. Now it appears to be just a mock jersey, but still cool nonetheless. Anyone have further intel on this?

I heard from a very reliable source that there is indeed truth to the rumor of a third jersey. Not necessarily this exact style perhaps, but it sounds like the orange will be making a comeback.
