We’re expecting Chipper Jones to go on the 15-day disabled list this afternoon, which is obviously bad news for the Braves, who don’t win nearly as frequently without their best hitter in the lineup.

What a story to wind up a slow news day!!!!
It's about time the Phillies brass made up their mind about what to do with him. The question now is, who gets his start?? They can skip his next scheduled appearance, but they'll need someone in about a week and half.

Myers goes into the setup slot, Gordon goes on the DL, Happ gets called up (although I was kind of hoping they'd give Durbin a shot at it).

WOW - great job jinxing the Phils. That is why you never celebrate an injury!!! Myers gets sent down and now this..... It is almost a guarantee for a big night from Chipper.
Chipper avoids DL, returns to lineup
Chipper Jones (quad) won't only avoid the disabled list, but he's expected to start at third base for Tuesday's game.
