Chase & Jen Utley, Still Loving The Felines
Perhaps there is some sort of Philadelphia Magazine cover jinx and thus putting Chase Utley into some sort of mid-summer slump? I've yet to read the article on the Phillies second baseman and his lovely wife but I've been told it praises them for being active in the Philadelphia community. Probably for saving poor cats.
That'll do it for us for the week. Come back later tonight to discuss the Braves game and what kind of reception Jimmy Rollins will receive at CBP.

Oooooh! What a beautiful cat! What a beauty! Little white mittens!

Too much pussy leads to not enough hitting.

I'd take pussy over hitting anyday my friend(cats of course), For myself that is. Chase however had best start getting his friggin act together out there.

Pat Burrell disagrees.

The Utleys seem like good people.
Now please Chase, for the city of Philadelphia, START HITTING AGAIN!

Actually I think Burrell's average has rose significantly since he has been engaged and married.

Interesting article on the whole Reyes celebration issue. Maybe now the Mets fans will see its not just people being sore losers, but its about the way baseball is meant to be played and has always been played.

The only thing I hate more than cats is when player's wives inject themselves into unwarranted publicity. If I've got to watch Mrs. Utley on Daily News Live one more frickin time...

There's nothing wrong with using quasi-celebrity for good. I have no problems with it, so long as it doesn't take Chase's focus away from the real goal: winning games and a future championship for Philly.

Chase Utley is more interested in cats, dogs and the environment than his fans. I was at photo day yesterday and he was a complete ass. He would hardly shake hands and only gave pictures to people with big boobs and children. You know there are some parts of you job that you don't like, people have to suck it up and do it. Just go out there and shake hands with the people that support you day in and day out and in some way, pay your salary. I think Chase Utley only cares about himself. He's still a great baseball player, but he's also full of himself.
PS- Ryan Howard was the same way. Complete DI&K head
