Quotable: Jevon Kearse is Like Pudding
"I'm still the same player, but that scheme up in Philly was different. All I've got to say is proof is in the pudding, so I can't even talk about it. Just watch and see."
-Jevon Kearse
Two hundred and forty dollars wortha puddin'. That's a whole lotta puddin.
Apparently, Jevon Kearse and his coaches think he still has something left in the tank and has something to prove. "Back in '99 I had a chip on my shoulder," Kearse said. "Ten years later, that chip's turned into a boulder. So now I've got a boulder on my shoulder."
So that's why he was holding his shoulder after every single play the past three seasons.

We had the $240...we had to have the puddin'.

If playing with a chip on his shoulder makes Kearse a better player, why didn't he do that while he was an Eagle?
What's the over/under on when he gets injured again? Week 3?

Isn't the whole "boulder on my shoulder" thing an old Springsteen lyric?

The over/under should be how many PLAYS it takes for him to get injured, not weeks.

Good point, Walklett. I guess I was too generous.

Isn't an "over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder" a bra? If so, it sounds like he needs one.

I think the real question is whether Kearse will even be on a team when the regular season starts.

hard to beat a The State reference...

@Chris: Agreed, well played Clare.
The Meek should shut up. He had the audacity to whine about the system being to blame for his craptastic production. When he wasn't limping off the field with a 30-second finjury, he was lining up 20 feet outside his blocker hoping for a miracle speed rush. Good riddance.

I hope he has a horrific career ending injury. That's what any athlete deserves when they refuse to own up to their own shortcomings. It isn't Jim Johnson's defense that is to blame for his lackluster performances, it was Jevon Kearse's own brittle body. Anyone who is that bitter towards a group that did him no wrong should never be allowed to play another snap ever again. I'm really tired of bitter ex athletes blaming their organizations for their inability to perform.

"Jevon Kearse is Like Pudding"
He's black and soft and pretty soon you need to spoon him up.
