Philly.com Sports Calendar Predicts it All Ends Tonight
Only twice in the history of the Stanley Cup Playoffs has a team come back from a 3-0 series deficit in the conference finals. However, quite a few teams have at least won game 4 and extended the series, including our Western Conference counterparts, the Dallas Stars, who won last night to stay alive against Detroit.
Unfortunately, the calendar makers at philly.com/sports are predicting that the Pens will sweep the Flyers, ending the series tonight.

Come on, Philly.com! Where's the hope? Where's the asterisk, and then below, in the small font, the "if necessary"?
(Surely we jest, and the calendar feature is automated. But that abyss after tonight's game is sobering...)

Come on, Matt, they've been doing this thing for long enough that they know how it ends. They've seen the movie before. :)
In all seriousness, though, I think they could steal the game tonight, but I've seen nothing that tells me they can come back. Winning 4 straight against Montreal was different because we out-worked them, and Carey Price was a young goalie who melted under the pressure. Unfortunately, nothing I've seen from the Penguins tells me they'll do the same.
The die-hard in me wants a comeback, but the realist in me would be happy just to see a good effort.

If the Flyers win tonight, why the hell are there two travel days before Game 5?

Yep, only two other times in NHL history has a team come back from a 3-games to 0 deficit. The first was in 1942, the second in 1975. 33 years separate the two.
1975 + 33 years = 2008. Destiny, folks. Destiny.

I would be with you on the destiny thing except that this is Philly. Plus Gary Bettman can crush destiny with his stare.

according to Jim Jackson via NHL Radio, Coburn has been ruled out for tonight.
Great, more adversity....
