Phillies Crush Rockies in 20-5 Beat Down
The eve before a new work week is typically painful but the Phils did everything in their power last night to end a great Memorial Day weekend on a high note. The Phils were a David Akers extra point short of 3 TDs and beat the Rockies by a final of 20-5.
Utley set a personal record by notching 6 RBIs. Coste added 4, Pedro had 4, Howard 3, Taguchi and Jimmy both added one. And wow! Even T.J. Bohn got in on the RBI action. [Box Score]
The bats have simply been on fire putting up 35 runs in their last two games.
Highlights after the jump.
There's so much to do there! But where is the singles scene or the party scene?!?
Oops.
And some highlights from the Phils game:

EMBARRASED is the only word I can think of when it comes to last night's game against the Rockies. I was actually embarrased for the Rockies getting beat so excessively. I sure if you would have asked me last year during the post season I would have said that they deserved it. I have to give props to So Taguchi for 3/5 earning his wages this year. I would have never thought that he had it in him . . . . .

Dear Lord, be with our guests and prepare them for the butt-whupping they are about to receive.

Well, the Rockies did manage to hold Pat Burrell without a hit. Otherwise, you know, things might have gotten ugly out there.

"old man batting practice" looked pretty damn good, and after beating (the shit out of) the Rockies he's now won against every single MLB franchise. you wish you got around that much.

Moyer looks like he could pitch forever. Somewhere, Satchel Paige is smiling.

Eskin said last week that "the phillies offense concerns him" and that the phillies offense "is not good." Maybe if he keeps saying things like that, the Phils will score 30 in a game?
