I Can Has Umberger, and So Can You.
If you watched the Comcast Sportsnet lead-in to the atrocity that is the Versus hockey broadcast last night, you may have seen the feature on Cocco's Pizza's latest addition to their menu: The Umberger.
Now, more often than not, when we're watching some Philly sports, we're eating something delivered by Cocco's (Brookhaven). So when we saw this feature run, it was pretty clear we were going to try it (sans the mushrooms). Here's what ours looked like:
Onion rings on a burger. So simple, and yet... in all my burger-eating years, I'd never had it.
I left some room on the right of the pic if anyone wants to lolcat it. Bacon up that Umberger, boy...

Looks slightly on the dry side to me.
What was the verdict?

It was pretty damn good. I put some ketchup on to moisten it up, same as I would any other non-Um-burger.

om nom nom nom, that's a good lookin' kaiser roll too.
ps. Versus should be ashamed of themselves.

does zak's deliver? have hot wings? cheesesteaks? pizza?
if not, I'm not even sure what we're talking about here. but if it's "who has the best cheeseburgers?" the conversation begins and ends at Charlie's, my friends.

@ Matt P.
I hope it was not Heinz ketchup that you used. i have boycotted all things canadian in the last series and now all things from pittsburgh. that includes heinz ketchup.

Nice choice with the Victory beer there too, it rivals Yuengling as my favorite local brew

Try it with barbecue sauce instead.
I had something like that here in the home of your mortal enemy (Pittsburgh), and it came with that instead of ketchup.
Damn good burger!
I can has Umberger? Yep!
