Eric Snow Drawing Interest as a Potential Coach
Former Sixer and Philly fan favorite Eric Snow is attracting attention in several NBA cities who are changing coaching staffs this off-season. Snow has not yet officially retired from the Cavaliers, but it is believed he will be soon.
Larry Brown, the new head coach of the Charlotte Bobcats, is said to be interested in adding Snow to his staff. But not so fast, Larry, writes Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer—Snow might already be getting some attention for a head coaching position.
...there’s a complication that would be very nice for Snow; an informed source says the Chicago Bulls want to interview him to be their head coach.
Bulls general manager John Paxson said he planned to spread a wide net in filling this job, and hiring Snow with no previous coaching experience would be just that. However, it demonstrates what a natural Snow would be as a coach.
Wherever he lands, we're happy for Eric Snow, one of our favorite Sixers of all time. He'll be great a great influence in a league that needs it.

As long as he doesn't teach them his form for a jump shot he should be ok. I hope he gets his chance to coach. He should do well with it.

I'm more than happy for E-Snow. I remember watching a few Cavs games and hearing announcers note that aside from being a role player for the Cavs, that he also coached a bit while on the bench. Who knows what could happen? Avery Johnson bounced right to the head coaching position of the Mavs a few years ago and he succeeded, not in winning a championship, but getting them to the playoffs consistently. If the Bulls offer him the job, Snow will be in a good position, especially seeing as they have the first overall pick.

Snow was the only kind of player you could pair with AI and have success. Good for him.
I just cant see him getting a head coaching job while Avery Johnson is still out there.

Eric Snow was a fan favorite? I have no recollection of that.

I can't remember a more boring player in Sixers history. Sorry.

I do enjoy not having to watch him do that 12-foot-kick-himself-in-the-ass jump shot he had...other than that, stand up guy.

Snow was great - he worked hard, he was a great defender, and a smart PG. Yeah he couldn't shoot, but at least he knew it.

Also, who would have ever looked at those old MSU teams and guessed that Snow would turn out to be a better pro than Shawn Respert?
