Not Only Hockey, College Hockey!
We're planning on kicking off our evening by watching the Frozen Four with some fellow BC alums at Porters in DC. Now, I'm not going to lie and act like I've been watching every (any?) BC hockey game this season, but any hockey game with playoff atmosphere where it's win or go home is certainly an entertaining game.
If you haven't seen how BC made it to the Frozen Four, you have to check out this video of the absolutely ridiculous goal that Joe Whitney scored in over time to get the Eagles there.
BC vs. North Dakota, 6:00 pm live from Denver.
As always, for all your BC sports needs, check out Eagle in Atlanta.

Go North Dakota! BC is a bunch of pansies for leaving the Big East. Although i don't know that there even is a Big East for Hockey, this is a good enough reason to mock BC's mediocrity in every sport.
If BC can't hang playing football in the ACC, imagine if they still had to play WVU every year...

Because WVU is so much better than FSU, Miami, and VTech. Right?

Ryan you're an ass-clown.
Pansies? How about smart enough to recognize a dying conference. Instead, BC moved up into one that has better football top to bottom by far, equal basketball, and wayyy better TV contracts/payouts. Plus, there's always Southern hospitality anddd Southern girls. Ever tailgated at Clemson or FSU? Yeah, WVU and Rutgers girls are definitely hotter.
And as to mediocrity, I won't even address it except to say: How about 8 Frozen Fours in the past 11 years?
Anyway, Go Eagles...
I drank out of the Beanpot earlier this year and hope to have another trophy in my mod by the end of the weekend.

I've been to one college hockey game in my life, and our fan section brawled with the other team's players.
I guess we shouldn't have smuggled those 8 cases of Natty Light into the building...

I wouldn't be so quick to call the Big East a dying conference. WVU, UCONN, Cinci, Rutgers, and South Florida all made bowl games, while Louisville and Rutgers are always tough. That's not an easy schedule for any team. Obviously, they're somewhat limited in their expansion options, but there are a few decent options if they decide to raid the C-USA.
They could add teams like Central Florida, East Carolina, Southern Miss or maybe even Troy or Florida Atlantic form the Sun Belt and that would be a sick little conference.

LOL, I don't think 8 cases of Natty Light should ever be smuggled anywhere.

Let's go Fighting Sioux! (from BU alum)

Enrico....right.
Look at WVU's regular season record, bowl record, and BCS bowl record over the last 3 or 4 years compared to any school in the ACC, there is just no comparison.
As far as steve-o is concerned, calling the Big East a dying conference only proves your own ass-clowndedness. No need to even argue that the better basketball conference is the Big East. In football the Big East is 3-0 in their last 3 BCS Bowl Games. And the ACC over that same time span? 0-3....dying conference indeed. But good for your college hockey team drubbing North Dakota, you've always got that.

There is no Big East or ACC in college hockey; BC is in Hockey East. Though they should get mocked for leaving the ECAC in the early 80's, which they did (along with BU, Maine, UNH, and Providence) because the ECAC's academic standards were 'too high'

GO North Dakota! (from a Cornell alumna)

hey ryan,
don't hate just cause absolutely nobody gives a fuck about anyone in your conference anymore.
it hurts to know that nobody cares...
but at least you have those "West FUCKIN Virginia" tee shirts.

That we do, along with the Fiesta Bowl Trophy to sit next to our Sugar Bowl Trophy from a few years before. We'll be competing for a National Title this year too...how close is any team in the ACC to doing the same? Don't get too down though, maybe one year an ACC team will actually not shit the bed in a BCS game and improve the ACC's all time record in those games to a dominant 2-9.
In a completely unrelated note, Reyes was easily out at the plate last night.

The big east is obviously not a dying football conference, if it wasn dying do you really think it's "co-champion" would have agreed to a ten game series against ND with no home games? Or lost to Temple? or got beat 24-10 by the ACC's 5th place team in its bowl game?
Also WVU WILL implode, academic standards and human decency still have some role in college sports, Noel Devine, Chris Henry, Pacman = trend towards destruction
