Cole Vs. Lilly: Game 2
On the strength of some decent pitching by Brett Myers and the bat of Pat Burrell, the Phils dispatched the Cubs last night in game 1 of the series down at CBP. Tonight, Cole Hamels takes on Ted Lilly, who has struggled so far but has decent numbers against the Phillies. Chicago's #2 starter, Lilly is a disappointing 0-1 with a 9.72 ERA over 2 starts. His K totals are down, and hopefully they stay there as the lefty faces a lineup that can bomb out any pitcher who doesn't have his best stuff, but also struggles against south paws. It's a beautiful night for a few hours at the Park, and we could see some long balls tonight.

Nice catch by Victorino, he should've broke his nose... then hit over .300 so we can truly forget about Rowand.

Beautiful double from Hamels. Good thing he stayed at third on that hit by Victorino or he would have been torched at home by the length of the Ben Franklin.

Like to see Pedro's bat waking up a bit after a slow start.
Looks like a great night to be down at the ball park.

Yeah, the weather has been cooperating so far this series, started pouring within 5 minutes of the end of the game last night. Fucking horrendous ride home though.

Watching this on WGN because I live in Iowa and they commentary crew refuses to stop bitching about all of the garbage on the field and how distracting it is. Seriously, any real analysis?

They have been 3 hit and losing 7-1 what else is there to talk about?

Anything but the fact that it's windy and there is trash on the field.

Hamels has been lights out this season. How great was it that he 1 hit the Cubs on the same day Johan "most overrated pitcher in MLB" Santana gave up 3 homers in a loss?
