Randy Moss to Eagles Still A Possibility
Chris Mortensen of ESPN is reporting some extremely interesting news regarding Randy Moss. "The Eagles are the one team I would keep an eye on if Moss doesn't go back to the Patriots," Mort reported on Saturday night. (video) And in related scary news, Mort adds that the Cowboys would be the third team he'd list with the best chance of landing Moss.
Boy, could that turn from a possible huge win for the Eagles into a gigantic loss in seeing Moss go to the hated Cowboys. Coupled with the Asante Samuel, the Birds signing Moss would be a huge FU to the New England Patriots. That would be quite enjoyable.
Mort also mentions the Eagles as being one of the teams interested in Javon Walker. Nothing new there.

Considering Mort is alway WRONG! I'll wait for a second opinion. What does Jay Glazier think? If he thinks Moss is coming to the Eagles, its a done deal.

I second that Scott, Mort was off his game all year in 2007, Jay Glazer is the new Mr. Scoop, if he says Moss to Philly is possible THEN I'll get excited.

C'mon Fat Andy, Bring us Randy! Can you imagine what that would do to our offense?
We'd have to sign Dono Mac to an extension after he threw 45 TDs, right?

I don't see why he wouldn't. I know the Birds have been cheap in the past but I feel that they are willing to put out the big buck for him. Did we see them getting TO? No. This offseason has best resembled that season as well. I don't think I'm crazy to hope that this will happen.

i would like to see moss in green but it is highly unlikely the only thing that worries me is thathe has a attitude like t.o which may hurt the team in the long run more than help

While this would be a huge for the Eagles, it seems highly unlikely. I don't doubt that the Eagles are interested--why wouldn't they be? But in the end, I think the Pats will pony up enough money to keep Moss around. Keep in mind, this is Moss' second time as a free agent in 11 years. He is simply testing the waters. In the meantime, he will gain leverage with the Pats based on the offers floated his way. It would be a poor business decision not to see what else is out there.

i think if the eagles were to sign randy it would be a great pickup a deep threat like him and white lightning and yac guy like reggie and obviously mcnasty and westbrook would be one of if not the best offense out there with one of the best d's
CHAMPIONSHIP!

Getting Moss takes a playoff team, and makes it the Super Bowl favorite.
Period.
GET IT DONE!!

McNabb wants weapons, right? Why don't the Eagles just bring Freddie Mitchell back?

Can we sign Brady, too? I mean, I only want to see Giselle's rack in Philly, but I'll take Brady with her.

If they do it, they'd better only sign Moss to a 1-year contract, though. Give the guy any job security and he'll start giving up on plays and alligator-arming passes, like he did in Oakland. The talent has always been there with Moss; the effort, less so.

I'd rather we land Fitzgerald... younger and less dough
Posted by: T | Sunday, March 02, 2008 at 01:59 PM
I don't think Fitzgerald would be less dough than moss. I highly doubt moss would get anywhere near 14.5 mil a year from anyone, no one is going to make that mistake. Plus Fitz is owed like 31 mil over the next two years, you might be able to get Moss for three years at the same price.

I really, really, really want Randy Moss in an Eagles uniform. Lets make it happen.
I understand this would destroy our salary cap but it would give us the absolute best chance of winning under the McNabb/Westbrook/Thomas/Runyan/Dawkins era. Antoher 3 years and the window of opportunity is over. We have to win now. For all these years the Eagles have been cap savvy, its time to reap the benefits of that and go hard after randy moss.

i just hope he dosent us the Eagles as bait like lowell did with the philles and ended up saying with boston,if the eagles got Randy then that would make up for the muts getting Santana

Mort doesn't have a game. He gets his info from hanging around Greyhound station bathrooms. His inside informants give him hand signals from under the stall partitions.

The next playoff game that Moss shows up in will be his first, and he's on the wrong side of 30. I'd rather have Fitzy.
