Ladies and Gentlemen, Mitch Williams!
I wish more former athletes put this much effort into providing material for Where Are They Now posts:
While observing the game from the stands, he took umbrage to the fact that the female official wasn’t calling fouls against the opposing team. Normally, when this kind of thing happens at a Catholic Youth Organization 10-year old girl’s basketball game, you let it slide. But Mitch decided to hit the female ref with a barrage of F-bombs from the stands and got himself tossed from the gym.
I can't wait to hear what the morning crew at WIP does to him over this. Big Ups to the Mighty One for blowing up the blogs with this gem today, and nice work all around by Meech, Walkoff Walk, and HHR.

Where is he now? The dude is on Comcast SportsNet all the time. Usually ripping the current players, but I digress.

Nothing clever to say (just back from vacation): Honestly, this is the type of parent that makes me shudder when I think about getting my kid (not quite 2) involved in organized sports.
If Mitch can't handle his emotions, he needs to stay away. It's obnoxious when parents berate folks who organize youth sports, who are largely volunteers. While some b-ball refs do get paid, you're not talking about big money here.
Maybe Mitch could have used the opportunity to parent his kid up and tell her that calls don't always go your way and to just deal with it.

Are you kidding me? This kind of thing happens all the time now. Parent's go crazy when there's a bad call, and they push their kids like they''re the next Jordan. It's scary. As much as I want my son or daughter to be a great athlete and live of their accomplishment for the remainder of my life, won't embarrass them like this.

Parents that yell like that are sad and pathetic. They are either living vicariously through their childrens' athletics because they weren't good athletes themselves, or they are like #99 and have anger management problems.
Although scenario #1 may apply to him as well...
