Geoff Jenkins CRUSHED Over Brett Favre Retirement News

The Phillies biggest outfield addition this off-season agreed to do a mock press conference today to document his reaction to the Brett Favre retirement news.

"I'm crushed," Jenkins told me and a few Phillies beat writers here in Orlando before playing the Braves. "What can you say? The man was tremendous.

"Seeing how good the (Packers') running game was getting and the defense, too, he could have come back, but who knows?"

Perhaps my favorite anecdote from the story: Shane Victorino ended the interview by hitting Jenkins in the nads with a baseball.
