Ron Hextall and Philly: Tailor-Made for Each Other
For those who couldn't see the Ron Hextall Flyers Hall of Fame induction ceremony and tribute video last night, or if you just want to watch it again, the Flyers have been kind enough to share it with us.
After the jump, a fan video by WJEiii captures the closing lines of Hexy's address to the Flyers faithful.

I don't wanna take anything away from people remembering Hextall. But I think there are alot of young fans out there that don't remember Pelle Lindbergh. He was a young amazing goalie that unforuntaley made a BIG mistake and died in a car accident because he was drinking and driving. But if you get the chance try to find video and information about him. He truly was an amazing goalie and person. We all can learn from his skills and can learn from his mistakes.
IN MEMORY OF PELLE LINDBERGH

Hexstall totally gets it. I wish that fan-submitted clip had his quote about the city of Philadelphia, because he nailed it that night (paraphrased):
"Philadelphia is a city where the only thing stronger than their desire to win is their hatred of losing."
More true words have never been spoken about the Philly Phaithful.

PoorSports, I may have a clip with that portion as well. If so, I'll try to add it to the post. It was a helluva line.
