Radiohead to Play Summer Concert at Citizens Bank Park?
Billboard has confirmed Radiohead will play a show in Philadelphia this summer. August 4th, 2008 at Citizens Bank Park is rumored to be the possible date and venue.
The Phillies will be returning from a three game set in St. Louis and have Monday August 4th off. They do play at home on the evening of the 5th against the Florida Marlins. Can a stage and field covering be dismantled in that short amount of time?
Radiohead at the ball park seems a tad unlikely, but other musical acts have appeared at CBP in the past including Jimmy Buffett, Bon Jovi, and the Police. I was on the field for Jimmy Buffet.

they are def playing the all points west festival the weekend of 8/8, so this makes sense.

They assembled and disassembled the stage for Petty at the Super Bowl in a half hour, I'm sure they can do it at the Park in a day.

The link is for an article that is a month old, one that every Radiohead fan has read already. Where did you hear the "rumor" that the Philly date will August 4th? There's no other support in your post. Where did the rumor come from?

This would be great if it were true. I've never seen a concert at the ballpark - I'm sure it makes for a great venue, and Radiohead puts on a hell of a live show.
My gut tells me that Radiohead will wind up playing the Pit of Eternal Despair, aka the Tweeter Center.
