Mets Fans Have Begun Their CBP Takeover Plot

If you're waiting to buy your tickets to the Phillies-Mets games at Citizens Bank Park this year, particularly April 19 and 20, you best not hesitate much longer. Metsblog and its followers are already getting their jorts out of storage and organizing a sojourn to South Philly to take your seats.

The time to mount up is now. If you're a member of the Facebook group that's planning to invade Shea, more power to ya, but don't forget to defend the home territory. Remember how much fun it was to watch the Mets fans hang their heads after watching sweep after sweep in 2007? This is going to be one hell of a 19-game series.

I ordered my 6 pack today. 3 of the games are vs. the mucking fets.

If anyone needs a good laugh, take a look at the thread on Metsblog regarding the planned takeover of Shea. God bless the optimistic Mets fan who thinks they'll have the division wrapped up by September 6... notwithstanding the events of last year, of course.

I love when fans think they actually impact a game = someone that has never played a sport past little league in their life.

what's wrong jorts?

Leupus, how can you have no problem with mets fans coming down and taking over citizens bank park? you may be right that it has no effect on the game, but come on its our city, our stadium, our team. our team deserves to hear its home fans and not have to listen to stupid mets fans during a home game. Phils - Mets games are becoming the best baseball games to see in person and I definitely don't want to miss them. Beware to the mets fans in my section (way up top - 700 level style) the verbal harassment will be tough, ugly, and non-stop.

how do mets fans know what to do at a game outside of shea? i mean without the PA system and jumbotron queing them and all?

I hope they don't enter our stadium with a loud mouth. If they do ESPN's Jayson Stark may just be right.

already had my tickets to the game on the 19th thanks to a couple of six game packs I got.

Why would we invade Shea, its a hell-hole. They can keep it. I'll take CBP and its Gary Coleman sized field anyday. But I do have tickets to the April 18th game, a little early considering there all going on the 19th though.

yo they're trying to come for the July 4th and 5th games too, its not just the April games

sorry Fat Ted ..I went to Metsblog..now I really do HATE those people. Best Quote "All the Philly fans are going to see September 6 is their team battling for 2nd place with the Braves." 9/6/07 they had a 5 game lead on the Phills and look how well that turned out. They are just setting themselves up for failure again.

Best part is they are posting where they are sitting. Can we organize a metsblog counter attack where we kick the shit out of them

^now thats using your head, lets do it

Lets kick some mets fan ass.

How do they think they're going to invade the 4th of july game, that is always sold out and packed with people from philadelphia. Also, I wouldn't be the least bit heartbroken if one of their buses went careening off the jersey turnpike on the way to Philly.

What's concerning to me ... is that the main blog entry makes mention of some "back-door link" that they somehow have, and are using buy up tickets before the official onsale ...

Is this really correct ? and if so ... should WE know about this link ?

Joe- Yes I think i know what link they are talking about, i got an e-mail with it. I bought tickets yesterday and im not sure who else got the link but ill try and get it up asap.

Anyone who is on the Phillies email newsletter list had the opportunity to buy tickets a day early. The offer expires/expired at 11:50 PM 2/20/08. I'm guessing that's their big back door.

Yea thats what i just saw. Whats the deal with the Mets fans picking up this stuff though.

^ Exactly ...

Shouldn't there have been a 700level post with the heady ticket pre-sale link ... in lieu of a reactionary post to the Metsblog ???

I didn't get this email? Or if I did I deleted it by accident. I get a lot of spam.

One of you fools shoulda reminded us. Thanks for nothing, loyal readers.

Yea,my bad. Whats with you guys and being up doing things at 2am?

This guy seems to be putting on the mets trip.

we should all email blast him throughout the season and let him know what we think.

Nice, let'm come down and get harrassed all night. I have tix to the 7/5 game in my plan, should be a good one. I need to make a sign...any ideas?

I have tickets to the 4/19 game, bought 6 of them for myself and my buddies. I drew up a sign that just says CHOKE with the 'O' being the head of Mr. Met, hanging by a noose. Fuck the dirtbag Mets fans, if I don't get taken out of there by security, I'll be shocked.

Gentlemen, war is upon us.
This "backdoor link" the mets fans used to buy tickets is one of the most heinous acts to occur in the sports realm since the 1972 Olympic basketball finals.
For too long have we taken abuse from New York and its surrounding fans from North Jersey and the like. To be honest, I am fed up. It is time we defend our territory and defend it well.
Mets fans should know whats coming to them before they step foot in the stadium. If your down at CB Park tailgating and you see mets blue anywhere give 'em hell. I can't wait for this series to start and my sports hatred for New York is growing everyday.
We proved we are better than them on the field...its time to shut them up in the stands.
