Maybe This Is What the Flyers Are Missing
Fan favorite Jeremy Roenick came to town last night, and by all accounts, he was excited to be back in Philly. Gotta love JR.

If it wasn't for fans booing Danny Briere last night, I probably would not have noticed if he was on the ice.
God, I miss JR.

Do I miss his personality, sure. Do I miss the level of play he'd be able to contribute this season, not at all. I really enjoyed JR's time as a Flyer, but he doesn't really fit the style of play the organization is trying to develop with the forwards (i.e., younger, faster).

danny boy, oh danny boy, anyone suprised this qoute didnt get more play?
"This leaves us without an All-Star player (gagne) right now," team president Peter Luukko said. "We'll go from there. I think if something is available we'll look at it, but I would not see us straying from our long-term plan. We certainly would not want to give up any of our long-term future at this point.
danny makes $7m, huge marketing and PR push, but the president doesnt even think he is all-star caliber?

I guess Richards doesn't count as an all star because....?

Thanks for using this pic! JR was certainly entertaining the fans last night. Flyers fans sure do love and miss him.
Meanwhile, the Flyers' current franchise player receives boos whenever he touches the ice (or when his name is mentioned), and hears cheers when he's knocked to the ice.

He meant as they have one less all star player. At least i hope he did. Cause Richards did happen to be an all-star this year. Briere right now doesnt deserve to even be thought of as All-Star caliber. The guy sucks right now but then again so does the rest of the team.
