Hey Foppa, Kick Us While We're Down Why Don't Ya? Forsberg to Avalanche
For a while there it seemed if Peter Forsberg decided to return to the NHL it would be with the Philadelphia Flyers. Nope. Forsberg will join another club he once played for, the Colorado Avalanche.
Welcome back the NHL, Peter. May your custom skate fit you just a little bit too tight.
I can hear Flyer fanboys everywhere crying in unison.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooo

Meh. Foppa would be a great addition for a playoff run, but let's face it, we're not going on one of those this year.

I say we get Jesse Boulerice to crosscheck him in the face, twice. Anyone hear that he was talking about how he had "unfinished business in Philadelphia" way to talk the talk and then bolt when the shit gets rough asshole.

I don't blame him but I really don't think he has too much left anyway

Who cares? With the way the Flyers have been playing lately, the last thing they need is the daily distraction Forsberg's ill-fitting skates would provide.
If the Flyers are going to do any damage in the playoffs (or even make the playoffs), they'll need to get on a major hot streak within the next 20 games. With the amount of injuries they currently have, that's becoming increasingly unlikely. Forsberg's in one day/out the next would've just exacerbated the situation.

Titus, you are 100% right. Even if they were healthy and added Forsberg, the Flyers aren't going to win a Stanley Cup until they address the defensive position.
