Ali Larter Made It Big Thanks to the Phillies

Here's a fun fact I'm sure none of you knew.  Heroes star and Victoria's Secret's Sexiest Pair of Legs 2008 Ali Larter made it big thanks to the Phillies.  Check it.

Alilarterphillies Hmm.  Stripper mom with multiple personalities?  We may have to start watching this Heroes show.

Now if that's not the most tangential reason for a post, we don't know what is.  We couldn't track down the original Phillies commercial -- anyone? -- but we did find out a little bit more.

Who is Ali Larter, you ask?  You may remember her best from her whipped cream covered role in Varsity Blues.

According to People Magazine, "Larter, a 13-year-old tomboy from Cherry Hill, N.J., is discovered on a Philadelphia street and asked to be in a Phillies commercial. She signs a modeling contract with the prestigious Ford Modeling Agency in New York and skips her senior year to work in Japan and Australia."

To the Phillies, we all say: thanks for the goosebumps?

You cannot possibly mention Ali Larter without mentioning her stunning work in "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back". She was in the girl gang with Shannon Elizabeth and Eliza Dushku.

If my math is correct (probably not), it was in 1989 when she did that ad.

What a great way to send Mike Schmidt off.

And hey, the Phillies WERE winners sometime between '84 and '92!

Ali Larter just made it big again.. in my pants. I'll be here all week folks, try the veal.

We may have to start watching this Heroes show.

I highly recommend it, although Ali's character was killed off in the last episode shown this season. Frankly, she didn't bring much to the show, although her bad-ass alter ego Jessica was definitely stroke-worthy material.

And that was HER in that commercial for the cheap body-perfume? NOICE!

That was her in the perfume commercial??? I remember the ad, but didn't recognize her. Wow...
