Mo Cheeks Can Still Shoot The Rock
Coming off a nice win over the Heat on Wednesday, the Sixers have embarked on a West Coast trip that starts tonight in Sacramento. They had a light practice on Thursday before their flight out west. After the session, Mo Cheeks owned Sammy D., ThadYo, and Louis Amundson in shooting contests.
The team wrapped up practice with a number of shooting contests between players and coaches, most notably a three-point contest between Coach Cheeks and center Samuel Dalembert. Coach got off to a strong start and won, but Dalembert made it close down the stretch. Cheeks also defeated rookie Thaddeus Young and Louis Amundson in separate games of "Around the World."
You could look at this in one of two ways. Either a.) the Sixers players are pitiful and can't even beat an aging coach in a shooting contest. Or b.) Mo Cheeks is a stud who hasn't lost his touch.
I'm leaning towards the former.

What is he doing having a three point shooting contest with his center?

Maurice Cheeks career 3-point shooting percentage: .255
(Agreed)

So basically Mo Cheeks is a better shooter than 2 scrubs and our offensively challenged center.
Color me unimpressed.
