Random YouTube: Hulk Hogan Defends WWF Title in 1984 at the Spectrum
I remember my friend Brady used to read WWF message boards when we were younger. I thought the kid wasn't exactly playing with a full deck. I never really got into the WWF, but this video is a gem. Not only does it take place at the Spectrum in 1984 but it displays how amazing the original WWF used to be with the Hulk defending the championship against Greg "The Hammer" Valentine.
Hulkamania! Part I below, Part II here.

If I'm not mistaken, Gorilla Monsoon called him "Craig" The Hammer Valentine. In the first minute of Part I. Also, the steel chair shot to the leg in Part II didn't cause a DQ. Old school is great, I'm just glad Hogan dropped the Thunderlips gimmick after Rocky III.

Wow. Nothing like today's wrestling or even late 1990s action. The pacing is completely different. In fact, watching it I felt like I was playing one of the wrestling games on the Nintendo 64 or Playstation 1- complete with only a limited number of "moves" and slower pace to the match.

I was at the Spectrum that night as a youth and just was overwelmed with all the action that took place, but viewing it again, 23 years later, I can't help but think,"What was I?, f%%%ing CRAZY??" That video positively proves how a young boy can get caught up with such a rehearsed sport and still think that it's real! How did Bugs Bunny put it?, "What a Maroon!!"
