Flyers Need Their A-Game Tonight in Ottawa
The Black Friday showdown with the league's worst team didn't go as well as we'd hoped, with the Flyers coming back from a 3-goal deficit, but losing in OT. Next on the schedule is tonight's matchup with the league's best, the Ottawa Senators, in their house. The Sens have lost only 5 times this season and are led by Daniel Alfredsson (16 goals) and Martin Gerber (2.04 GAA). (Update: Alfredsson was scratched.)
The good news is the Senators lost yesterday too, to the Flyers little '07 pet, the Pittsburgh Penguins. The loss was their third in their last 4 games, fourth of their last 7, after winning 13 of their first 14 games. So although they're still the best team in the league, they're definitely not the hottest. Unfortunately, neither are the Flyers, who have dropped 3 of their last 4 as well. Twenty minutes 'til 6 ounces of vulcanized rubber hit the ice in the bustling metropolis of Ottawa.

Ottawa eh, hosers.

They brought their A game. The played smart hockey, actually outshot the Sens, and held out in the end after playing back to back games. Its these types of games that give me hope that they will win a round or two in the playoffs... but its a long season a lot can happen.
