Flyers Finally Solve Crosby, Pens

After 2 seasons of getting pantsed by the Penguins, the Flyers finally beat their cross-state rivals last night, 3-1. The scoring started early, with Danny Briere hitting Joffrey Lupol with a pass and Lupol netting it just 28 seconds in. Jeff Carter scored a few minutes later, and the Flyers didn't look back. To shake things up, John Stevens changed the lines before the game, putting Briere on the third line, and once again, his adjustment paid off. The result is a fluid set of three lines that can all score, rather than a top-heavy rotation that is set in stone. Hopefully the productivity will last.

Also ending was the Pens' streak of scoring on the power play in all 14 games this season. Great to see the team come back from the recent road losses with a big W at Pittsburgh. Highlights after the jump.
