Jon Runyan is One Broke Ass Man

Big Jon apparently played the entire game on Sunday with a broken tailbone.

Runyan said last night on his weekly WIP radio show that he actually fractured his tailbone when he slipped getting out of the cold tub at the NovaCare Complex following practice on Thursday.

Runyan missed practice on Friday but was able to play the entire game against the Bears Sunday after receiving a painkilling injection before kickoff.

Ouch. Runyan is one tough dude.

I thought this was going to have something to do with his financial situation... after all of those Ford Truck, McDonalds large coffee, and other misc. commercials he better not be broke!

Playing through pain like that is chest-bump worthy.

These pain-killing injections you speak of... are they not available in TE-ready formulations?

if you want to be the TOFF-fest... you have to train with the TOFF-fest.

Runyan has four dishwashers in his kitchen/mansion... that's alot of gel tabs to buy.

"Despite the injury, Runyan is expected to play in No. 179 in a row on Sunday, when the Eagles face the Vikings in Minneapolis."

Thank god, because if not Donnie Mac will be the next broke ass man, we have zero depth at tackle. (see Phi @ NYG)

Maybe he was with Grandma and took a little spill at the sand dunes today. Broke his coccyx.

Ya know jumping to conclusions as I'sure we all did on Sunday, I kept wondering and voicing my dis-pleasure on why he seemed to be getting beat by the rush time and time again, now I know, and I've had a bruised tailbone in the past and that S.O.B.hurt like a MOTHER, but having it broken or chipped, EEEYYOOOWWWW!!!!!!
