Cole Was Too Hot
Only somebody like Mr. Weitzel would pick up on this, but the Inqy confirmed it.
Apparently Cole was wearing a long sleeve shirt during his rough inning yesterday which later came and helped him cruise.
Wearing a long sleeve shirt under another short sleeve is so 1998. Come on Cole, you know better.
Aside from the wardrobe malfunction, something else was amiss in game 1. Video clearly shows the Rockies closer, Manny Corpas, dousing himself in something from his cup in the bullpen. He then is reaching for his shirt while on the mound and then scooping dirt before delivering.
