A Trip Down Uniform Road
Yesterday, I commented on how horribly ugly I think the Eagles 75th anniversary uniforms are that they plan to wear this coming Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
Also on the webs yesterday, Philebrity's Week in Balls took a look at Ghosts of Philadelphia Teams Past.
For some reason, I was hoping to include a picture of The Spoon in a Sixers uni with the stars on the front. Do you people realize how hard it is to find a good picture of Clarence Weatherspoon on the internets? Travesty. I may be forced to find my old basketball card collection in which I have over 75 Weatherspoon cards -- true story! -- and scan some in. I had some weird 8 year old crush on the man they called The Spoon.

So during their 75th Anniversary celebration, they *shouldn't* wear the uniforms of 75 years ago if they do a throwback night. Yeah, that makes sense.
Like them or hate them, this is what the Birds looked like 75 years ago. And we have a lot more to be worried about than the threads.

Looks as though the Phils will be bringing out a new alternate jersey next year -- looks pretty sweet....
