The Phils Had a Nice Friday Night As Well

Donovan McNabb wasn't the only one to look sharp Friday evening.  The Phils woke up on Saturday morning in a tie for the wild card lead.  Yes, this Phillies bunch with a make shift staff and shoddy bullpen was in control of their own wild card birth.

Then they went out on Saturday and Sunday and gave two games to the Buccos.

Trying not to dwell on the negatives of the past two days, the Phils have a chance to pretty much control their own destiny down the stretch.  Will this team be able to do what the last few couldn't?  I don't doubt the bats, especially if Chase Utley comes back and looks anything like his old self, but I have very little faith in the arms.

A huge home stand starts tomorrow against the Dodgers.  Make 'em count.
