The departure of Smith isn't worth wasting words over. The real issue here is Tierney's ongoing dismantling of the Inquirer. He's the classic takeover guy. Buy struggling asset, sell off parts (he's now selling the building), write off losses, and then flip the asset as soon as possible. Selling off writers (a term that admittedly loosely fits Smith) is part of the overall strategy.

steven a is the f'ing man...hes is an entertainer and he is very good at what he does, watching him on cold pizza arguing w/ skip bayless is high high comedy, not to mention that he really is a very good writer, hes too big time for the inquirer anyway, plus 95% of the people that say they dont like him are passive aggressive punk racists...
