Gregg Henson Messes With Bull, Gets Horns
It was a joyous moment back in April when the news came down that Gregg Henson was leaving 950's morning show. His annoying laugh, his above-the-world pomposity, his berating of anyone who disagreed with his unfounded and subjective points, and his overall lack of actual sports knowledge, both in Philly and on the national level, made 950 a non-option during the morning drive. (I might also point out that the nationally syndicated show they used to run in that slot was great, and I still wish they'd go back to it, although the Michael Bradley incarnation of the 950 morning show is an improvement.)
Apparently Henson didn't last long back in Detroit, and he's now returned to Texas to work the drive home on the Longhorns' flagship station, 1300 AM. And as you might imagine, the Longhorn fans are already trying to hook him, as commenter Joseph from Austin alerted us yesterday. Henson himself thinks the show is taking off, but oddly, he "can't believe there are that many people out there who want to talk sports." Um, then why base your entire career on that "phenomenon"? Henson also shares that he was recently the victim of credit card fraud.
Everything's coming up Henson!

My favorite part of the Henson morning show was when he would scream at the callers who said he didn't know anything about Philly. When, after commenting that Philadelphia didn't have any elevated trains, he was clled on the carpet, he laid down the blank term "haters."
I thought his show had some pretty good moments, but it was clear that he wasn't a fit for the Philly airwaves.
Now, even Glenn Foley seems better with Michael (not Mike) Bradley.

Dear I Like Him,
Want him back? There are some wealthy Horns who'd probably be happy to pay his relo expenses.
Say the word and we'll get it done. ;)
NOTE: This will be a package deal as you will also have to take AJ. We don't care if they work radio again, you just have to ensure they stay above the Mason-Dixon this time.
